Job Description
CORMAC is seeking an experienced and adaptable HR Manager to lead HR initiatives focused on employee engagement, learning and development, performance management, and HR operations in a fully remote environment. This role serves as a strategic partner to leadership while providing hands-on support to employees and managers, ensuring effective HR practices that support business goals, employee experience, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
· Partner with leadership to support workforce planning, employee development, engagement, and retention strategies.
· Serve as a trusted resource for employee relations matters, including addressing concerns, grievances, and workplace issues.
· Lead employee engagement initiatives, surveys, recognition programs, and action planning efforts.
· Foster and maintain a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture within a remote work environment.
· Manage and continuously improve the company's performance management process to drive employee growth and accountability.
· Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), including user access, content administration, reporting, compliance tracking, and training delivery.
· Assess organizational training needs and develop, implement, and evaluate learning and development programs aligned with business goals.
· Partner with managers to identify skill gaps and create employee development opportunities.
· Develop, implement, and enhance HR programs, policies, procedures, and systems that support organizational objectives.
· Oversee employee benefits administration and annual open enrollment activities.
· Support full-cycle recruiting activities, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
· Ensure timely completion of onboarding requirements, HR documentation, compliance obligations, and required training.
· Provide HR metrics, reporting, and workforce analytics to leadership to support effective decision-making.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
· Participate in special projects and other HR initiatives as assigned.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
· Must reside within the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia) area.
· Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience in an HR Manager, Senior HR Generalist, or similar role within the IT Software Consulting, or professional services industry.
· Experience managing and administering a Learning Management System (LMS).
· Experience with HRIS platforms, preferably ADP Workforce Now.
· Demonstrated experience supporting all phases of the employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, engagement, performance management, learning and development, and employee relations.
· Experience supporting and engaging employees in a remote work environment.
· Strong understanding of employment laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
· Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage HR data to make informed recommendations.
· Ability to balance strategic HR initiatives with day-to-day operational responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
· Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
· Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or equivalent.
· Experience supporting a federal government contractor environment.
· Knowledge of government contracting compliance requirements and workforce practices.
