Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following:
- Coordinate rent payment for Phase II clients.
- Assists in coordination and monitoring client’s orientation and financial progression into admission and through each phase of the Recovery Kentucky Program. Assesses eligibility for admission to the Recovery Center while in SOS.
- Works closely with Kentucky Housing Corporation and SOCAYR to complete accurate and timely information necessary to maintain tax credits
- Works closely with Cumberland Valley Housing Authority to submit reports necessary to receive Section 8 rent payments in a timely manner.
- Provides required reports and logs to Cumberland Valley Area Development District, Department of Corrections, and Cumberland River’s Regional Office.
- In collaboration with other staff and assistant staff, initiates and maintains complete and up-to-date client records (client files, shift logs, incident reports, discharge summaries, etc.) Assures maintenance of clinical information (information from other agencies, mental health issues, psychosocials, etc.) in staff only files.
- Develops community resources for the program and to meet individual client needs.
- Serves as member of Management Team. In cooperation with Management Team, creates and maintains a consistent and nurturing environment for all clients.
- Collaborates with other staff in program development and client consultation. Provides counseling, feedback and education to all clients in collaboration with other members of the Management Team – work with Administrative Assistant in SOS admission and case development.
- Assists in development and adheres to all policies and procedures.
- Attends and participates in all trainings and meetings as required.
- Respond to emergency situation in a timely fashion.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with other team members, as part of a multidisciplinary team, and independently, when necessary.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position may be filled with a high school graduate with experience but a BA/BS Degree and CADC is preferred. If in recovery, a minimum of one year continuous abstinence from drugs/alcohol is required (2 years is preferred). Familiarity with women’s issues (parenting, mental health, domestic violence, etc.) and chemical dependency treatment is preferred. Experience working with Section 8 Housing preferred. Submit to and pass a criminal record check and a drug screening test.
Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 am until 5:00 pm Evening and weekend hours may be required.

- Dynamics and/or completion of Recovery Dynamics training.

- Possess a valid Driver’s License, maintain a safe driving record, and maintain the required minimum vehicle insurance amount for the State of Kentucky, if required for job performance.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions or may be off-site from normal office location.
The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
Environmental Data and Job Hazards:
- Hours of work are structured 8.0 hour blocks of time but may be subject to irregular and/or flexible hours based on needs or demands.
- Position may require duties to include routine or reasonable anticipated tasks or procedures where there is a degree of actual or potential exposure to blood or other infectious materials.
- All staff are required to participate in yearly trainings regarding infection control and safety in the environment including hazardous waste and blood borne pathogens.
- All new staff must attend training regarding handling physical, verbal threats, acts of violence or other escalating and potential dangerous situations including when police need to be summoned.
- All staff must be certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation within one month of employment and maintain the certification, if providing direct care.
Required Job Performance:
- Successful Performance Evaluation rating of 3 or above. A Performance Improvement Plan will be initiated on all scores below a 3 rating. An employee will be terminated if the Performance Improvement Plan is viewed as unsuccessful after 2 attempts.
