Job Summary:
A Zone Leader in food manufacturing oversees a specific production area (e.g., mixing, packaging) to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency. They lead teams, monitor performance, enforce HACCP/GMP compliance, and maintain equipment, often acting as a bridge between frontline workers and management

Key Responsibilities:
Shift Readiness & Floor Management
Walk the floor at the start of each shift to ensure all machines, tools, and materials are set up and ready for production. Verify that all operators are present and assigned
correctly.

'Production Flow & Performance
Monitor daily production flow, address issues immediately, and ensure output meets
schedule, quantity, and quality goals.

Staffing & Communication
Assign tasks to operators, pickers, and loaders based on staffing levels.
Communicate any absences or manpower needs to the Production Manager.

Quality & Safety Oversight
Inspect production lines regularly to ensure products meet quality specs and that any nonconformance is reported and corrected.
Enforce GMP and safety standards, ensure PPE use, and maintain a clean and
organized area throughout the shift.

Leadership & Reporting
Provide shift updates to the Production Manager, including performance issues,
machine problems, and order status. Participate in daily shift meetings.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Preferred)

Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 pounds
