2027 Winter LAWbound® Academy in New York, New York at LatinoJustice PRLDEF

LAWbound® is part of the Cesar A. Perales (CAP) Leadership Institute that works to increase the Latinx pipeline to law school. The LAWbound program provides targeted services during a week long course that address some of the most common barriers to admission to law school.

A LAWbound® scholar can be a current college student or recent college graduate that has not applied to law school. Program participants will receive reading materials to prepare for the weeklong course.

Program Eligibility Requirements:

• Demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a legal education
• Currently enrolled in undergraduate program or recent graduate, pre-law
• Demonstrate strong academic potential
• Submission of a personal statement and resume

• When prompted to upload your resume please include a Personal Statement in the Additional Documents section.

Applicants must be able to attend the full prep program that takes place on January 11th - January 15th, 2027 with daily programming from 12:00 - 5:00pm ET. Please note, that you will be asked to submit a personal statement, resume, and recommendation letter.

Please note the program will be hybrid, strongly encouraging local participants to join in person.
