UNC Health Blue Ridge is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Vascular Surgeon to join our growing surgical services team in Morganton, North Carolina.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a vascular surgeon who wants to practice the full breadth of vascular surgery while playing an important role in the growth and development of a comprehensive vascular program.

With an established referral base across Burke, Caldwell, and McDowell counties, dedicated OR time, modern surgical capabilities, advanced imaging, and strong alignment with primary care and specialty physicians, you'll have the foundation to grow a successful practice while expanding access to vascular care close to home.

Practice the Full Scope of Vascular Surgery

We are looking for a surgeon who enjoys both the clinical and procedural sides of vascular medicine and who is energized by the opportunity to grow a program.

Your practice will include:

• Comprehensive vascular surgical care

• Open vascular surgery

• Endovascular procedures

• Inpatient vascular consultations

• Outpatient evaluation and longitudinal care

• Collaboration with primary care physicians, cardiologists, and other specialists

• Participation in call coverage

• Opportunities to contribute to clinical quality, patient safety, and program-development initiatives

Most importantly, you'll have an opportunity to help more patients receive the vascular care they need without leaving their community.

The Surgeon We're Looking For

We're seeking a physician who wants to make an impact beyond the operating room.

The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical judgment, excellent surgical skills, a collaborative mindset, and enthusiasm for helping develop a growing vascular service.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery

• Eligible for medical licensure in North Carolina

• Training in both open and endovascular vascular procedures

• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered surgical care

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Interest in program development, practice growth, and community impact
