Job Description
Position Summary:
Functions as a staff nurse under the guidance and supervision of an experience
R.N. Performs routine patient care assignments and carries out established
nursing procedures utilizing the nursing process.
Qualifications:
A. Education:
1. Hold a current Texas permit or license as a Registered Nurse (RN) upon
hire
2. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
(AHA) certification required upon hire
3. Advanced Cardial Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart
Association (AHA) within six (6) months of hire
4. Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) or Trauma Nursing Core Course
(TNCC) within twelve (12) months of hire (class selection dependent on
director assignment)
5. Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) preferred.
B. Training and Experience:
1. Experience in critical care a plus

1. Heavy lifting
2. Sustained standing and walking
3. Work under stress
4. Varied work hours and shifts
B. Exposure to infectious diseases.
