This position would assist individuals with intellectual and developmental as well as physical disabilities in our day hab programs and assist the Transportation Supervisor and transportation team.

Available Position:

Wage: $18.75 per hourHiring Bonus: $1,000 (paid in one installment after 6 months continued employment)Shift: Monday-Friday; 8 AM to 5 PMPosition: Full-time, HourlyThis position coordinates activities related to dispatching, routing, tracking and vehicle maintenance. Serve as support and backup to the Transportation Supervisor. Transport persons with disabilities using organization vehicles. Ensure adherence to safety rules and assist passengers in boarding or exiting a vehicle.

You also provide caretaking, teaching, and recreational activities to individuals with developmental disabilities attending our day habilitation program. You will help facilitate individual and group activities with individuals geared towards increasing capacity in interpersonal communication, problem-solving, self-care, motor skills, etc. Our direct support professional staff create opportunities for individuals to achieve personal goals and develop life skills; all while enjoying social outings, art projects, cooking lessons, musical exploration and more!

Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinates activities related to dispatching, routing, tracking and vehicle maintenanceSupport and backup to Transportation SupervisorTransport clients using organizational vehiclesPromote and encourage community integration and socialization opportunities in a positive manner.Support and enrich the lives of individualsSupport personal goalsAssist individuals to gain knowledge and confidence in life skillsTeach skills to expand a person’s independenceReinforce therapies, including speech, behavioral support and physical therapyAdminister medications and maintain accurate medication recordsSupport individuals with hygiene, including personal care tasks and groomingEnsure all needs are addressed in a respectful manner with dignity and personal choiceComplete and maintain required documentation and trainingsMinimum Qualifications:
