Job Description

Precision Security Team is a veteran-owned and operated company proudly serving northern Colorado and surrounding areas. Since our establishment in 2018, we have experienced remarkable growth, earning the trust of local government agencies, schools, critical infrastructure sites, event organizers, and more. Based in the region stretching from Denver, CO, to Cheyenne, WY, we are committed to excellence in security services.

We take pride in hiring veterans, former law enforcement personnel, and first responders and strongly encourage individuals with such backgrounds to apply. However, we are equally committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace. Precision Security Team is an equal-opportunity employer, and all candidates are evaluated based on their qualifications, without discrimination or bias.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at Precision Security Team, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for the public at your assigned location. Your responsibilities will include addressing security concerns and handling requests as needed to ensure the safety and satisfaction of clients and the community.

Every Security Officer at Precision Security Team is entrusted with delivering an exceptional experience for our clients while safeguarding their interests. It is essential to uphold the company's professional image at all times—whether interacting with clients, the public, or law enforcement.

As a member of our team, you are expected to embody and demonstrate Precision Security Team's core values and code of conduct in all aspects of your work.

Your schedule would be 6:00 pm-6:00 am Saturday and Sunday. Please do not apply if this does not work with your availability.

This position is heavily focused around social services. Candidates for this position must be comfortable around at-risk populations such as persons experiencing homelessness, drug and/or alcohol addictions, mental health crisis, trouble with the law, etc. Those with experience with or an interest in social work are encouraged to apply.

Critical Roles of the Position:

  • Strong Communication Skills: Candidates must possess excellent communication skills to effectively engage with the public and clients. This includes the ability to listen actively, convey information clearly, and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
  • Independent Work Capability: The ability to work independently with minimal to no direct supervision is essential. Candidates should be self-motivated, reliable, and capable of making sound decisions in real-time situations.

  • Preference for Veterans and Law Enforcement Experience: Applicants with prior military or law enforcement experience are highly encouraged to apply, as their expertise and training are highly valued in this role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required. Candidates should be comfortable creating, editing, and managing documents, spreadsheets, and email communications efficiently.

Company Core Values:

Key Competencies:

  • positive attitude

Pay: This W2 position pays $20.75/hour. Employees who work 30 or more hours a week are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, accident, and hospital indemnity insurance. Colorado offers additional benefits to all employees, including the Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) program, which provides paid leave, and a secure savings option through a Roth IRA program.

Hiring Process: Assessments will be scored based on answering the question, and proper use of grammar and written communication. Please do not write "see resume" or "can be discussed during the interview" as your answer. We are looking for answers with specific examples and/or thorough, multiple sentence answers to the questions.

Our hiring process begins with a thorough review of resumes to identify candidates who align well with our company's needs. If your resume stands out, you will receive a call for an initial phone screen. Following a successful phone screen, we will invite you to an in-person interview with the hiring manager and other relevant management team members.

During the interview, we ask that you use the S.T.A.R. technique. The STAR technique is a structured method used to answer behavioral interview questions by clearly outlining a Situation, Task, Action, and Result. This approach helps candidates provide comprehensive and well-organized responses that showcase their skills and experiences effectively, and helps candidates provide answers that are coherent, concise, and impactful, making it easier for interviewers to assess their competencies and fit for the role. Should you advance past this stage, a job offer will be extended to you. After the offer is accepted, we conduct a background check and proceed with online onboarding.

We will review your application and reach out if we think you're a good match. Due to a high volume of applications, please refrain from calling to inquire about the status of your application; failure to follow this direction will reject your application, as it shows that you may not follow directions and/or read things all the way through.

To ensure full consideration, applications must be submitted by January 24, 2025.

PST adheres to a hands-off approach whenever possible, prioritizing verbal de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques. The only instance where physical intervention is appropriate is if an individual poses an immediate physical threat to themselves, others, or you. Acceptable physical intervention techniques will be taught during our mandatory Phase I training.
