- Operate woodworking machinery, such as saws, sanders, and lathes, to shape and cut wood components.

- Assemble wood products and structures according to specifications and design plans.

- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.

- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.

- Sand, stain, and finish wood surfaces to achieve desired appearance and texture.

- Load and unload raw materials, finished products, and equipment.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.

- Assist in the setup and breakdown of woodshop equipment and workstations.

- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

- Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance needs to the supervisor.

- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

- Assist in inventory management by tracking material usage and notifying supervisors of low stock levels.

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Proven experience in woodworking or related field

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders

- Knowledge of various wood types and their properties

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements

- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods

- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations

- Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and tools
