POSITION INFORMATION

Position summary:
- The Mental Health Specialist is a member of an outpatient team providing direct care for outpatient psychiatric and addiction patients. Provides assistance with vital signs, front desk work, intakes, assessments, patient and family education, and crisis intervention. Responds to inquiries from the community and assists in directing patients to appropriate resources.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in the social sciences, preferably social work, or psychology.

Required length and type of experience:- Experience working in a medical setting with other professionals, families and patients in psychiatric setting.
