About This Position
Position Description: Computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties. Position Responsibilities: Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting Budgeting Budget Analysis Forecasting Financial analysis Maintain compliance with and recertify the banks CDFI status annually. Ensure timely and accurate reporting for all impact-related reports, including CDFI, BEA, ECIP, and any other mission driven and social impact initiatives. Provide requested data to revenue and marketing teams for completion of financial assistance awards, annual impact report, and any future mission-driven and social impact initiatives. Monitor regulatory developments for CDFI, ECIP, and other impact reporting requirements. Coordinate with information technology, database, and credit and lending teams to create or enhance collection, reporting, and monitoring of CDFI and ECIP lending activity. Provide input on new products or services, and how they may affect (positively or negatively), maintaining an outstanding CRA rating, CDFI certification, and other impact compliance requirements. Crosstrain in financial operation. Crosstrain in regulatory reporting. Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements due to company growth. Minimum Qualifications: Qualifications: - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A.) in accounting with at least three to five years accounting experience and/or training.
Language Skills - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. BSA REQUIREMENTS:
It is the responsibility of all employees to make all reasonable efforts to identify suspicious cash activity which may be associated with customer attempts to avoid the reporting requirements of the BSA or government or federal tax reporting, as well as potential money laundering resulting from criminal / illegal activities. All suspicious activity, regardless of the amount involved in the transaction, must be reported to a supervisor or Branch Manager for further investigation and possible reporting by the Bank Secrecy Officer to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).
No director, officer, employee, or agent who reports a suspicious transaction under the requirements of the BSA may notify any person involved in the transaction that the transaction has been reported.
Each employee of the bank shall be required to complete Bank Secrecy Act / Suspicious Activity training periodically which is commensurate with the duties of their position.
