Overview

The Engineering Stock Clerk, Senior, VI assists in the management of the stockroom and maintains a working inventory. He or she will provide support to the Stockroom Supervisor to facilitate a smooth operation associated with the Engineering Construction Department.

Responsibilities

• Must fulfill duties of previous grade;
• Receive all engineering supplies and check for compliance with purchase orders;
• Maintain inventory of supplies, purchase orders and contact outside vendors and agencies for prices;
• Stock shelves;
• Maintain a running inventory of materials removed from stockroom;
• Maintain all departmental portable hand tools and equipment used by the department and a tool inventory for each employee;
• Act as Engineering Chauffeur and maintain a log on the use of the Engineering vehicle;
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• A valid Chauffeur's license
• Three years related experience required
• Must possess the strength and dexterity to perform the job and the ability to move equipment;
• Must adhere to operational safety rules and regulations as deemed by the College;
• Must be able to follow directions and possess good communication skills and ability to interact with building/office occupants effectively;
• Must be competent in materials and parts ordering;
• Must be familiar with minimum and maximum inventory control systems;
• Must be computer literate and familiar with the Micromain System or similar inventory system;
• Must be able to operate a pallet jack.
• Must fill in for supervisor in his absence.

Hiring Rate:$30.30

Post Probationary Rate:$30.83
