Diesel Maintenance Roadside Technician (Mobile Service Unit)

Are you an experienced Diesel Technician who enjoys working independently, solving problems on the go, and keeping fleets moving? Gabrielli Truck Leasing and Rental is hiring Mobile Diesel Fleet Maintenance Technicians (Class A & B) to join our growing roadside service team.

In this role, you'll work on the road from a fully equipped Mobile Service Vehicle, performing maintenance and repairs wherever our customers need you most. If you're self-motivated, safety-minded, and ready to work for a company that values its team, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled roadside maintenance and minor repairs (e.g. oil/filter changes, lighting, tires, greasing, minor component replacements).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues on commercial trucks and fleet equipment.
• Ensure all repairs meet Federal Motor Carrier DOT standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work using company systems.
• Operate service tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team leads.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Minimum 1–3 years of diesel technician or fleet maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, kneel, crawl, and work in various physical conditions.
• Must be comfortable working alone in a mobile setting with limited supervision.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, internet browser).
• Must own tools necessary to perform mobile repair and maintenance work.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• CDL License and/or NYS Heavy Duty Inspector’s License a plus (not required, but willingness to obtain is necessary).
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and additional shifts as needed.
