Central Sterile Technician
POSITION SUMMARY
Under close supervision, the Central Sterile Technician prepares, tracks, and sterilizes equipment and instruments in an accurate and timely manner. Prepares operating room case carts, sterile trays and supplies for all areas of the hospital. The Central Sterile Technician performs cleaning, decontamination, assembly, wrapping, or containerization, sterilization, biological monitoring, quality assurance and distribution of reusable instrument trays, supplies and equipment throughout Box Butte General Hospital. This position independently performs the full scope of all central sterile processing functions with an emphasis on rapid and correct assessment and response to critical situations in the OR and/or other hospital units. Expected to work up to - 12 hours a day if needed.
EDUCATION
Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Participates in care to patients throughout the lifespan.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
License/Certifications:
Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate for healthcare workers.
A 30-day notice is required when employee resigns position.
Post-offer/pre-employment background check and drug screen are required.
