The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to receiving, storing, and distributing products. This person in this position must be able to work independently and as part of a team, possess strong organizational and communication skills, be able to meet tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy, and demonstrate a high commitment to safety.

Key Tasks

  • Receive, unload, and stock products.
  • Verify accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments and inspect products for damages or defects.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Organize and maintain inventory. Communicate any discrepancies or damaged products to department management.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment, as trained, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Participate in keeping the warehouse clean and organized.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
  • Work independently, yet as a collaborative team member.
  • Take ownership of responsibilities and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Solid work history. Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work productively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Ability to learn and use new software programs. Familiarity with an ERP or related software beneficial.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (30 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs on occasion).
  • Ability to work in a climate-controlled warehouse environment.
  • Ability to stand, move, squat, reach and climb for up to 8 hours at a time.
