NES Estimator in EAST HARTFORD, Connecticut at NEFCO Service Divisions LLC

Job Summary: Responsible for preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of full estimates on large and complex projects as required by client’s documents and provide complete conceptual and total bid price.

Job Duties:

• Review and evaluate requests for estimates and project quotes, as needed
• Prepare weekly bid calendar and ensure timely completion of estimates
• Prepare and review estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy.
• Create job folders
• Input take-offs of construction documents
• Review construction documents and understand scope of work to bid
• Obtain pricing for materials
• Obtain bids from subcontractors
• Prepare cost analysis in NEFCO’s Enterprise Resource Planning System, Eclipse, by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead cost incurred in the installation of strut grid projects.
• Make an estimate where predetermined standards are not available
• Inform immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or computer database
• Develop and maintain cost data, including labor, equipment, and production rates
• Maintain estimating procedures and guidelines
• Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors
• Attend branch meetings

Qualifications:

• Demonstrate strong ability to work in fast paced, high pressure environment
• Excellent computer skills and capability to adeptly operate Eclipse, Microsoft Office Suite and any other software required
• Strong customer service skills
• Maintain excellent regular attendance, punctuality to ensure a high-quality and timely response for customers
• Must perform work accurately and with a sense of urgency and integrity while paying strict attention to detail
• College degree preferred
• 3-5 years of work experience
