About the Role:
The Gaming Machine Technician Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and optimal functioning of gaming machines across multiple locations. This role ensures that all gaming equipment complies with regulatory standards and operates efficiently to maximize uptime and customer satisfaction. The supervisor leads a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high-quality service delivery. They coordinate schedules, manage inventory of parts and tools, and liaise with vendors and regulatory bodies as needed. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in sustaining the operational integrity and profitability of gaming operations through effective technical leadership and problem-solving.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a gaming machine technician or in a similar technical role within the gaming industry.
- Proven experience in supervising or leading a technical team.
- Strong knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems used in gaming machines.
- Familiarity with gaming regulations and compliance requirements in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with networked gaming systems and software troubleshooting.
- Certification in gaming machine repair or related technical certifications.
- Experience working with regulatory bodies and understanding of compliance audits.
- Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement processes in technical operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of gaming machine technicians to ensure timely and effective maintenance and repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics on gaming machines to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize machine downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Train and mentor technicians on technical procedures, safety protocols, and compliance with gaming regulations.
- Manage inventory of parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring availability and proper usage.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure all gaming machines meet legal and safety standards.
- Prepare detailed reports on machine performance, maintenance activities, and team productivity for management review.
- Respond to escalated technical problems and provide expert troubleshooting support.
- Coordinate with other departments to support gaming floor operations and customer service excellence.
