GAMING MACHINE LEAD TECHNICIAN

DEPARTMENT: Gaming Machine EXEMPT (Y/N): No LICENSE LEVEL: Key

SALARY GRADE: G8-G9 DOE REPORTS TO: Lead Bench Tech Supervisor

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the overall repair and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical Gaming Machines and their components; and coordination of all Gaming Machine Technicians on assigned shift in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Responsible for the repair, overhaul, and proper preventative maintenance of all Gaming Machine machines to ensure optimal operation
  • Handles gaming machines on the casino floor’s maintenance and repairs.
  • Verifies the necessary paperwork for auditing and data processing purposes for the initial set-up and checkout of new Gaming Machine machines.
  • Responsible for the break down, relocation, and re-set-up of machines and pedestals to be relocated.
  • Assists in the training of new Gaming Machine Technicians.
  • Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as the Company’s internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Promotes positive Customer Relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, AND REGISTRATIONS

  • Must be able to submit supporting documents of education and training (High School Diploma, GED, Degree and Certificates) to support qualifications.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license in good standing according to the licensing rules and regulations.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain in good standing a Driver’s License and qualify for Fleet Management coverage on company vehicles.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma, or GED required with one (1) year Gaming Machine Technician experience (G8)

AA Degree in Electronics with certifications preferred with three (3) years’ experience as a Gaming Machine Technician (G9)

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong organizational skills required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple

and other Employees of the company.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
