Educational Clinician / Tutor at Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes – Pasadena, California

Are you interested in a rewarding summer job? We are hiring in-person Educational Clinicians / Tutors to work at our Lindamood-Bell Learning Center in Pasadena, CA. No prior teaching experience is required! Lindamood-Bell provides paid training, instructional materials, and all necessary equipment. We welcome qualified candidates from a variety of backgrounds for this entry-level position. This is an on-site, in-person role and is not eligible for remote work.

What You’ll Do as a Summer Educational Clinician / Tutor:

• Provide one-to-one and small-group instruction to in-person and online students of various ages.
• Record notes about student performance while delivering engaging, structured lesson plans under the direction of Learning Center leadership.
• Implement positive reinforcement strategies that maximize learning.
• Facilitate the use of the curriculum provided for Lindamood-Bell Academy students.
• Communicate positively and professionally with clients and staff to provide a safe and positive learning environment.
• Manage client records, both handwritten and electronic.

Position & Schedule Details:

• Educational Clinician / Tutor work is performed on-site at the Lindamood-Bell® Learning Center in Pasadena, CA.
• Available positions are seasonal, beginning in May.
• Monday through Friday availability is required.
• Learning Center hours of operation: 8:00 AM through 5:00 PM
• Scheduling changes may be made based on the needs of the Learning Center.
• Paid training generally occurs Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, for two weeks.
• Post-training hours may vary week to week according to the scheduling needs of the Learning Center.
• Internship credits may be available.

Required Qualifications:

• • Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, early childhood education certificate, or currently enrolled in a degree program (students welcome)
  • Passion for helping others succeed academically
  • Ability to connect and engage with students of all ages while showcasing effective task-management capabilities in each instructional session
  • Strong reading, spelling, and comprehension skills
  • Basic computer proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

The following experience is beneficial, but not required for consideration of the role.

• • Tutoring, teaching, or classroom experience
  • Background in education, child development, or literacy
  • Experience working with children or students

Compensation:

• • The hourly rate for this position is $22.
