At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range is $53.16- $79.74, excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses.

Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.

Job Summary

The position directs the staff in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining security processes across the organization to provide customer-oriented services for staff, visitors and patients/families. This position works to reduce and mitigate incidents, risks and threats along with liability and loss. This position proactively identifies significant risks, designs and implements strategies and programs to reduce and prevent loss of organizational assets. This is done through committed, competent staff, state-of-the-art integrated security technology, diverse training, and awareness education and prudent policies and procedures.

Oversees a system-wide safety program to ensure the overall safety of employees, patients, and visitors; works in conjunction with others to ensure compliance with all OSHA and Joint Commission requirements for overall safety; complies with federal, state and local legal regulations; and exercises independent judgment in the course of carrying out overall responsibilities and other activities as assigned.

Education and Related Experience

Required:

• Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree with major course work in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or a closely related field.
• Six to Ten years full – time experience performing supervisory responsibilities or highly responsible work relating to tasks assigned to this position
• Experience with institutional security.

Preferred:

• Master’s Degree with major course work in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or a closely related field.
• Certified Healthcare Protection Administration (CHPA) and/or CPP certification.
