Job Posting
Connecticut GI, a division of GI Alliance, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Revenue Cycle Management to lead our billing operations and drive performance across all revenue cycle functions. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end billing processes, improving key financial metrics, and developing a high-performing team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
CTGI is the largest gastroenterology practice in the state of Connecticut, with over 30 Care Centers and still growing. Our employees are the foundation of our practice and we pride ourselves on the fact that we have been named a TOP WORKPLACE 8 times! Our team of clinical and administrative support staff work collaboratively with our physicians and advanced practitioners to provide our patients with the most comprehensive and compassionate care. Here at CTGI our promise is to treat every patient as if they were a member of our own families, and we are looking for team members who also embody this vision!
Key Responsibilities:
• Run day-to-day billing operations (charge entry, coding, AR follow-up, and denial management) and keep everything running on time and on target.
• Own our revenue cycle KPIs: Days in A/R, denial rates, clean claim rate, and cash collections, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Dig into denials, rejections, and payer trends to find root causes and put fixes in place that stick.
• Drive EMR optimization - workqueues, edits, and automation - working hand-in-hand with IT and operations to reduce manual lift.
• Lead process improvement initiatives that cut rework, raise first-pass resolution, and make the whole team faster and smarter.
• Partner with clinical and administrative leaders to tackle upstream issues including documentation gaps, authorization delays and scheduling problems before they hit revenue.
• Build, coach, and develop a team of supervisors, leads, and billing staff who are accountable, skilled, and motivated.
• Keep us compliant (coding guidelines, billing regulations, audit standards) and ready for whatever comes next.
• Support growth: new service lines, provider onboarding, payer contract changes, and beyond.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or related field required.
• Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, or related), peferred.
• Certification such as CPC, CPB, CRCR, or HFMA credential.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in professional billing or revenue cycle management.
• 3+ years of leadership experience overseeing multi-functional billing teams.
• Experience in multi-specialty or large physician group environments.
• Demonstrated success improving KPIs and leading operational transformation.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $150,000 – $180,000/year (plus possible bonus), depending on experience.
