Position Purpose:

• Performs all project work assigned, including but not limited to stripping & refinishing hard floors, bonneting & extracting carpets, waste handling & transport, supply distribution & handling, wall washing, patient and nonpatient area cleaning as required.

Essential Functions:

• Performs routine maintenance for hard floors and carpeted areas.
• Set-up and break down areas for catering functions.
• Removal and replacement of cubicle curtains and window drapes.
• Perform removal of waste and bio-hazardous waste from point of origin to proper disposal site.
• Performs cleaning duties in patient and nonpatient areas including but not limited to restrooms, wall washing, window blinds, bed making, and other related duties as assigned or requested.

General Job requirements:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• 1-3 years of previous housekeeping experience required
• Healthcare experience preferred
• Knowledge of floor care maintenance and handling of regulated/non-regulated waste
• Able to work with chemicals.
• Experience operating an auto scrubber, a vacuum and wet/dry vacuum
• Experience operating high and slow speed buffing machines
• Experience operating spin bonnet and extract carpet
