We are seeking a friendly and reliable Pro Shop Cashier to join our team. This role is responsible for providing an outstanding customer experience while supporting daily pro shop operations. The Pro Shop Cashier will handle point-of-sale transactions, assist customers with merchandise and inquiries, maintain a clean and organized checkout area, and help ensure accurate cash handling and inventory support. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Scheduling may vary week to week based on business needs and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience by welcoming guests and providing friendly, professional service at the point of sale
- Process purchases accurately using the cash register and handle all cash and electronic transactions responsibly
- Accurately calculate purchases, accept payments, and provide correct change when required
- Assist customers with questions about merchandise, services, and current promotions within the pro shop
- Maintain accurate cash handling procedures, including reconciling cash drawers and sales receipts
- Support daily pro shop operations by assisting with stocking, organizing, and rotating merchandise displays
- Ensure the checkout area and surrounding retail space remain clean, organized, and inviting for guests
- Work collaboratively with teammates to support sales goals and maintain a positive team environment
- Professionally address customer questions or concerns to ensure a positive guest experience
- Stay informed on current merchandise, promotions, and product knowledge to better assist customers
- Report equipment or operational issues to management in a timely manner
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs
- Passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills and experience handling cash transactions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to problem solve and remain professional in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Retail, hospitality, or golf course experience is a plus
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
