About This Position
The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated, coffee-obsessed Coffee Program Manager to take full ownership of our coffee & tea program. This isnt a "behind-the-desk" roleyou are the heartbeat of our coffee quality. You will be responsible for ensuring that every shot pulled and every milk pitcher steamed across our Nashville & Atlanta cafes meets our exacting standards. We are looking for someone who is open to working in multiple locations in Nashville, with the expectation to be in a different cafe 4-5 days a week training, creating, and improving our coffee & tea offerings!
You will serve as the primary bridge between our leadership team and our roasting partners, acting as the ultimate authority on our beans, our gear, and our techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Training & Education: Develop and execute a comprehensive coffee training curriculum for all staff. Youll be on the floor, working shifts alongside staff to refine their skills and ensure consistency.
- Vendor Liaison: Act as the sole point of contact for our roasting, tea, and coffee product partners. Youll manage ordering, quality control cuppings, and seasonal rotation planning.
- Quality & Innovation: Continuously research and implement improvements to our menu. Whether its sourcing a new single-origin, tinkering with water filtration, or upgrading espresso machines, you are tasked with elevating the customer experience.
- Regional Support: While based in Nashville, you will conduct periodic travel to our Atlanta locations to provide hands-on training and maintain brand alignment (all travel expenses covered).
- Accountability: You own the "Coffee P&L." This includes equipment maintenance schedules, waste management, and ensuring the program remains profitable and prestigious.
What Were Looking For
- High-Level Ownership: You dont wait for instructions. You see a drop in quality or an opportunity for a new product and you take the lead.
- Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of espresso theory, manual brewing, milk chemistry, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Communication Skills: The ability to coach diverse personalities with patience and clarity.
- Flexibility: A willingness to be mobile, rotating through different Nashville cafes to maintain a physical presence across the organization.
Requirements
- 40 hours per week (Availability for early mornings and weekends is a must).
- Proven experience in specialty coffee leadership or head barista roles.
- Ability to travel to Atlanta as needed (minimal frequency, fully reimbursed).
- A "no task too small" attitudeyou lead by example on the bar.
- This is an hourly + tips position with all-in hourly compensation ranging from $25-28/hour
