About This Position

Description: The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily tasks of the Quality Control Team. Ensures all safety procedures, customer interactions, and employee relations are handled in accordance with our policies and procedures. Consistently monitoring

staff performance to ensure quality, service, and goals are met on a daily basis.


Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

● Plans, manages, and assists with job assignments; continually monitoring staff utilization and productivity.

● Serves as the point of contact for the Quality Control Team.

● Monitors PRP priorities based on cut-off times, and recognizes the need for next day delivery to local customers.

● Oversees that the UPS and Freight shipping department are adhering to cut-off times for timely delivery.

● Effectively communicates and resolves any discrepancies from the customer’s order specifications.

● Provides frequent updates to the Operations Manager on current and future projects, day to day employee relations, and operational efficiency within the Quality Control department.

● Actively participates in the employee review process, corrective disciplinary actions, and employee management.

● Assists with the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, and development of new employees.

● Promotes a team environment by fostering respect, recognizing achievements, and communicating effectively.

● Conducts weekly team meetings and other training meetings as needed.

● Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.

● Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

● Works with the management team to develop action plans, target opportunities, and overall goal achievements.

● Completes tasks assigned by the General Manager and Operations Manager quickly and efficiently

● Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance

instructions, and procedure manuals.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of

education and experience. Experience or knowledge in the automotive industry.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver’s license. Forklift certification. Training and certification are available.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use

hands, and talk or hear. While doing this job the employee will be primarily on their feet for long

periods of time. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel,

crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee

must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. For heavier objects lifting devices and/or

assistance is required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving

mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions. This is a smoke-
