Position Overview
The key responsibility of this position is to promote Urgo Medical products through the targeting and education of current and potential customers, providing them with clinical education and technical support to provide world-class service to our customers. This position will encompass sales calls, education, follow-up, support, troubleshooting, customer service, and education for Urgo Medical products.
In this role, a Regional Burn Specialist is responsible for targeting, evaluating, and closing burn accounts identified through national burn conferences, regional burn conferences, and regional territory targeting. With the greatest focus on educating burn units/facilities on the multi uses of the portfolio of products specific to their institution. They will also be responsible for working with the National Burn team helping to coordinate burn conference attendance, burn dinner programs, updating Burn Protocol, Burn Training, Burn Partnerships, and the overall growth of the brands within the Burn Market in the US. They will report directly to the National Burn Account Specialist and the Vice President of Health Care Systems while working closely with Medical Affairs, District Managers/Directors, and Marketing.
Criteria and Responsibilities
Identify Burn Protocol
- Clearly understand and identify the optimal protocol for implementation within a Burn Unit
- Identification of all Burn Accounts/Active Management of closed accounts
- Target all stages of Burn Accounts
- Identify Burn Centers in your region that are not using Urgo Medical products through sales tracings and communication with the National Burn Specialist/District Managers/Account Managers
- Target the key decision makers of these accounts at National and Regional Burn Conferences
- Collaborate with District Managers and Account Managers taking the customer through an active trial start to finish
Brand/Market Recognition
- Attend National Burn Conferences
- Manage attendance
- Work with Marketing/Medical Affairs on clinical presentations
- Execution of Educational Burn Dinners
- Regional Burn Attendance
- Coordinate appropriate attendance
- Work with Marketing/Medical Affairs on clinical presentations
- Execution of Educational Burn Dinners
- Identify Burn Partners
- Manage and coordinate efforts to build protocols with skin subs, device companies etc.
- Include Medical Affairs and Marketing on collaborative opportunities
Grow UMNA Burn Culture
- Support UMNA values of Winning Mindset, Learning Organization, and Engaging Teams by demonstrating ownership of the Burn Market through your attitude, knowledge, and leadership
- Work closely with key Sales Leadership Departments & District Managers
- Work directly with National Burn Specialist and Health Care Systems
- Work with Marketing/Medical Affairs to identify current unmet needs with clinical messaging, data points, and optimal burn protocol
- Provide quarterly burn updates on regional calls with managers
- Outline Account Manager expectations with Burn Units in their territory
- Updates on Regional burn progress
Work Environment
- Indoors, in an office environment, with temperature control.
- No adverse environmental conditions expected.
- Overnight domestic travel required (roughly 60%).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required. Preferably with a health science or marketing/business major
- 2+ years of relevant burn sales experience to develop the competence required to meet the skills and responsibilities of the position with proven track record is a must
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), presentation skills, demonstrate an ability to quickly learn new information, and excellent sales skills
Physical Demands
- Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

Job opportunity will remain open until filled. Posted salary is base salary. This position is eligible to earn quarterly bonus and has an expected salary up to $120,000.00 annually.
