Senior Oracle Developer - Delta Point at Delta Point LLC – WPAFB, Ohio

Our company is seeking a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer with 10+ years of experience in SQL/PLSQL development, performance tuning and database optimization to build and support scalable, high-performance Oracle database solutions. A Senior PL/SQL Oracle Developer designs, develops, and maintains an Oracle RDBMS back-end servicing an ASP.NET Core Blazor front-end running on Microsoft Azure in a cloud environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, cursors and advanced queries
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions
• Optimize SQL and PL/SQL code for performance, scalability, and reliability
• Develop and maintain database objects, indexes and views
• Perform query tuning and performance optimization using execution plan/indexing strategies
• Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and QA teams
• Support data migration, data validation, and database deployment activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to database performance and data integrity
• Ensure database code follows best practices, standards and security guidelines
• Create and maintain documentation for database designs and application processes

Work Environment:

Senior Oracle PL/SQL developer will work in a team environment, collaborating with project manager and other system developers to deliver high quality software solutions to the government. May work on various projects at once, contributing to projects that enhance system upgrades, data management and application performance. Developers must work well independently and will utilize a help desk tool for task tracking.

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL development
• Strong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL programming
• Experience in Oracle databases technologies, Oracle 21c preferred
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing
• Experience with data modeling and database design concepts
• Hands-on experience with packages, procedures, functions, and triggers
• Experience with data migrations, ETL processes, and large data volumes
• Experience with version control software, GIT preferred
• Experience working in Agile and Waterwall environments
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, will consider job related experience
• Candidates are required to attend Phone/Video/In-Person interviews and after selection candidate should go through all background checks on education and experience
• Candidate must be eligible for full-time in person work at Wright Patterson Air Force Base
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance (if required)
