Job Description

Compliance Auditor CIA CPA

As a Compliance Auditor, you will play a critical role in executing the organization’s Compliance Work Plan by conducting complex compliance and operational audits from inception to completion. This position is ideal for a candidate with strong auditing experience who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and has a passion for regulatory compliance, investigative analysis, and process improvement.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with Compliance leadership while utilizing data analytics, auditing tools, and monitoring processes to evaluate operational effectiveness, identify areas of risk, and support University Health’s compliance and privacy programs. Your expertise will contribute directly to protecting the integrity, credibility, and reputation of one of the region’s leading healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct complex operational, compliance, and monitoring audits from planning through completion
  • Execute projects and assignments outlined in the annual Compliance Work Plan
  • Analyze data and information across multiple systems and platforms to support auditing and monitoring activities
  • Evaluate internal controls, operational processes, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies
  • Assist with compliance investigations and audit-related reviews
  • Prepare objective analyses, recommendations, reports, and findings for Compliance leadership
  • Maintain strong working relationships with executives, physicians, leadership teams, employees, and external stakeholders
  • Support the integrity and effectiveness of University Health’s compliance and privacy initiatives
  • Perform assignments promptly, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
What We’re Looking For

We are seeking candidates with strong auditing and analytical experience who possess exceptional attention to detail, professional judgment, and communication skills. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to independently manage audits, interpret complex regulations, and present findings clearly and professionally.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
  • A graduate degree or certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CFE is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in compliance/internal audit, financial analysis, or contract compliance auditing
  • Exceptional communication and people skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong understanding of automated systems and processes
  • HIPAA and privacy experience preferred
  • Office management skills such as budget control, supply management, document organization and maintenance, etc., is preferred
