Join Our Team as a Maintenance Engineer!

Ready to be the hero of our hotel? As a Maintenance Engineer, youll be the go-to fixer, keeping everything running smoothly and making sure our guests and team enjoy a safe, comfortable environment. Youll get hands-on with everything from HVAC and plumbing to electrical and mechanical systemsthink of it as your backstage pass to the inner workings of the hotel! KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical & Preventive Maintenance Powerhouse: Take charge of daily inspections, repairs, and fine-tuning across our hotels plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other systemscatching small issues before they become big ones. Perform preventive maintenance in guest rooms, common spaces, and on essential equipment (from refrigerators to ice machines), keeping everything running smoothly for an exceptional guest experience. Handle minor carpentry, painting, and furniture repairs to ensure our hotel remains both beautiful and fully operational.
  • Quick-Fix Hero: Jump into action to solve equipment hiccups, leaks, and those mysterious electrical issuesno problem too puzzling! Tackle emergencies like fire alarms and power outages with cool confidence, always putting guest safety front and center.
  • Safety Superpowers: Move objects over 50 lbs., scale ladders, and power through physically demanding tasks with strength and stamina. Follow OSHA safety guidelines when wielding tools, handling chemicals, and operating machinerysafety first, always! Keep work areas spotless and safe, with proper storage for tools and hazardous materials to protect everyone.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in hotel maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Trade license (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry) is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver's license required, with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

PROPERTY INFORMATION:

We are located off Interstate 95 and one mile from downtown Milford. They can explore shopping, dining and entertainment options, and discover nearby businesses such as Subway, Avangrid, Sikorsky, Covidien, and Alexion Pharmaceuticals. Yale University is less than ten miles from our four-story hotel. We offer 120 guest rooms and suites featuring self-adjusting Garden Sleep System beds, 32-inch HDTVs and MP3 alarm clocks. Guests are able to stay productive from their room in the ergonomic Mirra chair by Herman Miller while using complimentary WiFi at the large work desk. Each room is equipped with a coffeemaker, microwave and mini-refrigerator. We can host a business function or social event in one of our five meeting rooms, accommodating 10 to 220 people. Planners can coordinate a boardroom meeting or a ballroom gala. We invite our guests to savor a tasty drink from the Pavilion Lounge on the patio, and breakfast, dinner and evening room service from The Garden Grille & Bar. For our guests' convenience we have a shuttle service, 24-hour business and fitness centers, and a heated indoor pool.
