NURSING ASSIST, RES CTR at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center – POMONA, California

Position Summary: Under general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse, assists in providing direct and indirect patient care to hospital patients on a general or specialized nursing care unit by performing a variety of non-professional nursing duties. The Nursing Assistant will be aware of the special needs of specific age groups assigned to the unit. May perform other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications: [Required] High School Graduate or equivalent. BLS. Ability to read and write English; comprehend medical terminology; general office computer or hospital related experience; ability to operate various office equipment, i.e. fax, copier, multi-line phone.

[Preferred Qualifications] Certification as a Nursing Assistant. Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in an acute hospital and/or long term care facility

Salary range: $21.19 - $29.81 hourly. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
