Plumbing Service Technician at E.R. Services – Mint Hill, North Carolina

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Plumbing Service Technician to join our growing team in Charlotte. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and replacing residential and light commercial plumbing systems while delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, dependable, and motivated to maximize earnings through high-quality workmanship and service recommendations.

• Diagnose and repair plumbing issues including leaks, stoppages, low water pressure, sewer/drain concerns, and fixture malfunctions
• Service and install water heaters, tankless systems, disposals, toilets, faucets, shut-off valves, and piping components
• Perform whole-home plumbing inspections and identify preventative maintenance needs
• Present repair and replacement options clearly and professionally to customers
• Complete service calls efficiently while maintaining workmanship quality standards
• Use tablets/mobile systems to document invoices, notes, estimates, and photos
• Maintain clean, organized, and stocked company vehicle inventory
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed
• Follow all company safety standards, PPE requirements, and local plumbing code regulations
• Build customer trust through professionalism, communication, and clean job execution

• 2+ years of plumbing service or plumbing installation experience preferred
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
• Experience in residential service sales preferred
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in crawlspaces, attics, outdoors, and confined spaces
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage route productivity

• North Carolina plumbing license or qualifying experience
• Tankless water heater experience
• Drain cleaning/sewer camera experience
• ServiceTitan or field service software experience
• Prior commission, flat-rate, or performance pay environment experience

• Competitive hourly pay or performance-based compensation
• Charlotte market pay commonly ranges from mid-$20s/hour to $30+/hour base, with many service roles earning significantly more through commission/bonus structures.
