Position Overview
Moveras is seeking a hands-on, self-driven Facilities Manager with strong electrical expertise to lead all aspects of facility and maintenance operations. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our production environment.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver and self-starter who takes ownership of the facility, anticipates issues before they arise, and drives continuous improvement. This individual will lead a small maintenance team while remaining actively involved on the floor, supporting equipment uptime and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Lead and manage all day-to-day facility and maintenance operations
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians
- Partner closely with Production and Operations to support throughput goals and minimize downtime
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
Equipment & Preventive Maintenance
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial production equipment (mechanical and electrical systems)
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Diagnose root causes of equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and tracking through CMMS or similar systems
Electrical & Technical Expertise
- Lead electrical troubleshooting and repairs (licensed electrician required)
- Support upgrades, installations, and modifications of equipment and facility systems
- Ensure compliance with all electrical codes and safety standards
Facility & Building Management
- Oversee HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and preventative care
- Manage general facility maintenance including plumbing, lighting, compressed air, and basic structural repairs
- Coordinate and manage external vendors, contractors, and service providers
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA (1910 standards), environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Lead safety initiatives including:
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs
- PPE compliance and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Incident investigations and corrective actions
- Manage environmental programs (waste handling, stormwater, air permits)
- Serve as primary contact for audits, inspections, and regulatory agencies
- Support emergency response planning and preparedness
Qualifications
- Licensed Electrician (Required)
- 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing or remanufacturing environment
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Industrial equipment repair
- Electrical systems and troubleshooting
- HVAC systems
- General facility maintenance
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with CMMS systems and basic computer proficiency (Excel, email, reporting)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
