About This Position

Job Summary
Position leads organization-wide brand strategy, communications, and marketing to drive awareness, engagement, and philanthropic support. Role partners closely with leadership and development staff to plan and execute integrated fundraising campaigns, events, and sponsorships, ensuring all donor and community communications are compelling, on-brand and aligned with revenue goals.

Job Purpose
Position provides strategic leadership for organizational marketing, branding and fundraising functions by developing and executing strategies, plans and campaigns that grow visibility, deepen audience engagement, and generate sustainable revenue in alignment with mission and strategic priorities.

Essential Functions
Essential functions are the primary duties/main job responsibilities that an incumbent must be able to perform, with or without accommodation. Key accountabilities include brand and marketing strategy, fundraising integration, events and sponsorships, donor and external communications, and community and partner relations.

Job Factors
Minimum Education Level Required: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a closely related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum Experience Level Required: Minimum eight years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, brand management, and/or development, including at least two years of supervisory and/or formal leadership experience. Non-profit and/or healthcare setting preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Demonstrated knowledge of marketing and communications best practices, including audience research, segmentation and message development.
• Demonstrated brand strategy and management experience, including visual identity, voice and multi-channel brand application.
• Demonstrated brand strategy and management of all social media outlets.
• Demonstrated digital marketing (web, email, social media, SEO/SEM, analytics) experience, including their impact on support campaigns and fundraising.
• Demonstrated knowledge of data analytics, tools, applications and their utilization.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and adapt messaging for the appropriate audience; Bilingual preferred.
• Knowledge of fundraising basics, including individual giving, campaigns, events, sponsorships, donor stewardship and the use of CRM/donor databases.
• Familiarity with core nonprofit management concepts (mission, annual reports, boards, volunteers, etc.)
• Self-directed and self-motivated, demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage competing demands efficiently and simultaneously.
• Demonstrated competence using marketing tools including CRM software, analytics platforms, and email campaign management.
• Capacity for critical thinking and adaptability in a fast-changing, highly regulated environment.
• Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments (boards, executives, funders, community) and incorporate diverse input into messaging.
• Exceptional time management, decision-making and organizational skills and abilities.
• Outstanding interpersonal relationship skills, professionalism and high emotional intelligence.
• Ability to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction including employees, clients, partner providers and stakeholders.

Work Environment
Physical Demands

• High mobility, prolonged standing and walking, sometimes for extended periods without breaks.
• High manual dexterity and repetitive movements using hands and fingers.
• Motor vehicle and other transportation operations between campus locations and to off-campus locations and events (Travel 20%)
• Lifting items up to 30 pounds and physical exertion.
• Frequent bending, stretching, twisting and reaching.
• Access information using a computer

Environmental Conditions
Indoors in an environmentally controlled space with exposure to environmental hazards (contaminants, hazardous equipment, and infectious disease.) Occasional work outdoors exposed to elements.
Frequent performance of position duties while standing and walking and otherwise in motion.
Frequent computer use at a workstation up to two hours or more at a time.
Frequently fast-paced work with unscheduled interruptions.
Work may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet patient care demands.
Some public contact requiring business-appropriate apparel and/or occasional use of personal protective equipment.
