ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Performs all the essential job functions of a Pump Operator.
2. Duties will include setting the pump up in the beginning of the job and clean it at the end of the job. direct trucks on and off site to and from the pump.
3. Carry, load and unload materials, grout bags, aid bags.
4. Preform grout samples, flow cone test, and specific gravity test. Record the data obtained and relay to the superintendent.
5. Collect grout samples daily and store it in a designated area. Ensuring the grout is clean and matches the specifications.
6. Check and collect daily material tickets (grout, flowable fill, concrete). Turn the tickets to the superintendent at the end of each day.
7. Arrive to project site on time and participate in daily discussion meetings.
8. Clean up site trash and debris and put in designated disposal area.
9. Work with materials such wood, concrete, grout, steel etc.
10. Work with hoses (air, grout, water, etc.) for all types of jobs on the jobsite.
11. Conducts safety checks before starting up and operating (and after shutting down) grout pump using standard checklists.
12. Reviews site specifications with foreman and superintendent.
13. Operates all light equipment necessary (e.g., concrete, grout vibrator, grout plant/concrete pump, compacting equipment, basic hand tools etc.) for operations.
14. Operates selected pieces of heavy equipment at a basic level to include, but not limited to, the following pieces of equipment:
15. Skidsteer Loader (desirable)
16. Water truck (desirable)
17. Excavator (desirable)
18. Lull (required)
19. Hooks up necessary attachments to equipment to complete geo structural and civil task(s).
20. Conducts routine preventative maintenance necessary to keep equipment operating effectively and efficiently.
21. Makes minor repairs as necessary to keep equipment safe and operational.
22. Cooperates with civil equipment apprentices to conduct geotechnical operations.
23. Complies with all applicable state, company and OSHA rules, regulations, and guidelines necessary for safe operation of heavy equipment at the job site.
24. Reports any job site and/or WBI employee safety violation(s) to appropriate supervisory personnel.
25. Serves as a safe and productive member of a geotechnical crew/team.
26. Assists operators and crew leaders in installing ground improvements, piles, etc.
27. Assists operators and crew leaders to move dirt on/off site as needed.
28. Assists operators, apprentices, and crew leaders in properly draining water during grading operations.
29. Pumps water, cleans silt and maintains erosion control before, during and after rain events.
30. Observe and help to remove all hazards in a task.

Education and/or Experience

1. Vocational or technical training/experience in grading/site development - desirable
2. OSHA - 10 Hour Certification – required.
3. OSHA - 30 Hour Certification – required.
4. First Aid/CPR – required.
5. Valid driver’s license – required.
6. All-terrain material handler certification –required.
7. Aerial lift certification – required.
8. WBI Craft Training and other certifications up through Level I – required after hired.

8. Able to complete the Operator Tech Skills Tests for mini excavator, material handler, man basket and skidsteers.
9. Working knowledge of excavators, loaders, skidsteers. (Equipment Operator)
10. Equipment inspection of all types of equipment as well as proper start up and shut down.

Skillsets to be Mastered

1. Operation of all grout/concrete pump, grout/concrete plant.
2. Ability to identify good and bad grout, concrete.
3. Ability to recognize when proper drainage is not able to occur.
4. Able to identify and correct hazards associated with the WBI equipment.
5. The Civil and Geo Structural Group Best Practices
6. Ability to complete the tasks listed in them, as applicable.
7. Able to complete the Operator Skills Tests for grout/concrete pump..
