Position Summary
Child Care of the Berkshires (CCB) is seeking an organized, friendly, and proactive Human Resources professional to lead the day-to-day HR functions of our mission-driven organization. This position plays a key role in supporting staff, strengthening workplace culture, and ensuring that our policies and practices align with both regulatory requirements and our commitment to children and families.
The Human Resources Manager will be hands-on, responsible for managing all aspects of HR, including employee relations, recruitment/hiring/onboarding, employee benefits and compliance. This role requires someone who is approachable, detail-oriented, and able to balance multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage recruitment, hiring, and onboarding
- Support employee relations and provide guidance to staff and supervisors
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and maintain HR policies
- Administer benefits, personnel records, and HR systems
- Keep HR processes organized, timely, and running smoothly
Qualifications:
- Prefer BA degree in Business Administration or Human Resources
- 3–5+ years of HR experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Friendly, approachable, and able to handle confidential information
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities
- Must be able to pass a background record check successfully

Reports to: President and CEO
Position Type: Full-time Exempt. Some meetings/events will be required, outside of traditional working hours.
Salary Range: $60,000 to $80,000 per year, based on qualifications. Generous benefits including health, vision, and dental insurance, sick and vacation time as well as paid holidays, paid closure days, retirement plan and child care reimbursement.
Work Environment: Will work under typical office conditions, at a desk. The noise level is usually quiet. Employees are regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk or hear, both in person and via telephone email, or video; use hands repeatedly to handle and operate standard office equipment; reach with both hands and lift up to 20 pounds.
