Senior FPGA Designer at Zhone Technologies Inc – Hanoi

As a member of a dynamic development team, the Senior FPGA will be responsible for FPGA and PLD design for carrier-grade Optical Transport, Optical Line Terminals (OLTs).

What You’ll Do

• Create digital circuits and systems using FPGA technology, including coding in VHDL/Verilog, simulation, synthesis and debugging
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to integrate FPGA solutions into the circuit packs
• Ensure design meets performance, power, and area requirements through simulation and hardware testing
• Identify and resolve design issues during development and testing.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of design processes and modifications

• Degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering or equivalent, coupled with 5+ years' experience in FPGA design
• Strong understanding of digital design principles, FPGA architectures and HDLs (Verilog, VHDL)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to foster collaboration with the design team
• Ability to identify and resolve complex design issues
• Ability to optimize FPGA designs for thermal and performance
• Basic understanding of Mechanical design principles relevant to FPGA design
• Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements
• Ability to keep up to date with the latest FPGA technologies and to guide device selection
• Appreciation for how FPGAs interface with Hardware and Software

• Experience with hardware design of high-speed circuits
• Advanced electronics knowledge
