Strategic Analysis, Inc (SA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Immunology SETA to join the Resilient Systems Office (RSO) at ARPA-H. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in systems immunology concepts and technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: manage new and existing programs. Specifically, the candidate will be expected to conduct thorough scientific evaluation of the current R&D landscape to identify gaps in research portfolios to address critical needs that are aligned with the ARPA-H mission, monitor and track performers progress toward established metrics, be able to read and digest complex information, develop briefings for technical and non-technical audiences.
1. Provide internal, SOTA subject matter expertise on inflammation and immunity, in the context of acute diseases
2. Provide internal, SOTA subject matter expertise on the state of systems immunology concepts and technologies
3. Provide insights on conceptual and technical soundness of programmatic goals in the context of assessment and modulation of the immune and inflammatory response
4. Help set goals, expectations, and budgets for projects involving area of expertise
5. Help in review and oversight of performance of funded projects in area of expertise

REQUIREMENTS:

• Doctoral degree in immunology or a related field
• Experience in systems immunology
• Experience in computational modeling and/or machine learning/AI
• Experience with budgeting, program management
ADDITIONAL PREFFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment.
• Strong technical writing skills with an ability to prepare effective documentation.
• Strong proficiency in developing presentations and engaging visual materials.
• 5+ years of experience in project management, research management or related fields.
• Experience evaluating research project proposals for scientific merit, innovation, and potential impact.
• Prior experience working with government extramural R&D funding or with an ARPA (e.g., ARPA-H, DARPA).

TRAVEL
- Some CONUS travel is expected (~10-20%) as needed to fully support the Program and Program Manager.

CLEARANCE:
- HHS Public Trust (Ability to obtain)
