Commercial Litigation Associate (Defense) at Top Tier Reps LLC – Washington, District of Columbia

Our client, a prestigious Am Law 100 firm, seeks a mid-level litigation associate (4–6 years of experience only) to join its Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice in Washington, DC.

This opportunity focuses on high-level insurance coverage litigation, complex dispute analysis, and coverage assessments involving emerging issues such as environmental and product liability risks.

• Draft sophisticated case evaluations, pleadings, motions, and litigation-related documents

• Manage all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal

• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft well-supported memoranda

• Oversee discovery processes, including depositions and written discovery

• Engage with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel

• Analyze insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes; prepare detailed coverage opinions and assessments

• 4–6 years of complex litigation experience; insurance coverage experience preferred but not required

• Strong interest in insurance law, with exposure to environmental or product liability litigation a plus

• Excellent writing, research, analytical, and oral advocacy skills

• Proven experience managing cases and maintaining strong client relationships

• Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship experience is a plus

• Must be licensed and in good standing in the District of Columbia

• Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
