Shipping/Receiving at Fortins – Chilliwack, British Columbia

Fortin's currently has stores in Chilliwack, Hope, and Abbotsford.

We are currently seeking an energetic and self-motivated individual to fill a full-time Shipping/Receiving position in Chilliwack at the Airport Road Location. This is a hybrid role, requiring the shipping and receiving for both Home Hardware and Fortin's Supply.

The successful Shipper/Receiver must have:

• Valid BC Driver's License
• Enjoy working with people
• Possess the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills - Willing to learn
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines
• Experience with Forklift is an asset, or willing to be trained and certified.
• Good driver’s abstract
• Physically able and willing to lift 50lbs continuously
• Self-motivated
• Strong organizational skills
• Customer service and communication skills
• Willing to learn

This position is full-time, Monday to Friday. While not typical, a Saturday or Sunday shift may be required.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Process courier deliveries
• Checking off stock orders - by hand & using RF Gun
• Cross-referencing using supplied tools to ensure accuracy in receiving
• Troubleshooting and communicating any discrepancies/damages in received orders
• Data entry for stock and special orders
• Processing warehouse returns/warranties quickly
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the workspace
• Help Dispatch when busy with picking orders
