Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Independently perform non-destructive testing (NDT) using at least one Level II certified method (UT, MT, PT, RT, VT).
- Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
- Prepare accurate reports detailing testing outcomes, findings, and recommendations.
- Assist in training and mentoring NDT Technician 1 personnel on proper testing procedures and safety protocols.
- Perform calibrations on NDT equipment to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Work directly with engineers, project managers, and clients to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Ensure all inspections comply with ASNT, ASTM, API, AWS, or other industry standards as required.
- Maintain and organize testing documentation, records, and reports.
- Adhere to and enforce safety standards, PPE usage, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Assist in troubleshooting complex indications and technical challenges in testing processes.
Supervisory Responsibility
- Provides mentorship and guidance to NDT Technician 1 personnel.
- No direct supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Level II certification in at least one NDT method (UT, MT, PT, RT, or VT).
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience performing NDT inspections.
- Strong knowledge of NDT techniques, codes, and industry standards (ASNT, ASTM, API, AWS, etc.).
- Ability to obtain additional certifications as required.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for interpreting complex test results.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Must successfully pass an FBI fingerprint-based background check.
Preferred Skills
- IRRSP or state equivalent certifications preferred.
- Associate degree or vocational training in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), engineering technology, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in advanced NDT equipment and software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting and client interactions.
Pay Transparency
Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $34.00 - $40.00 per hour based on skill set and experience. The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-100 pounds. The employee will occasionally push or pull equipment weighing up to 200 pounds. The employee is required to frequently work outside. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
