BL101 began as an Instagram account started by a baseball obsessed teenager on his couch that started a community and has grown into something bigger than he ever could’ve imagined.

Today, Baseball Lifestyle has over 200 employees, retail locations in malls and tournament complexes, and can be found in various sporting goods stores around the country, like Dick’s Sporting Goods, Scheels, and Academy. We are currently seeking a Store Manager for our outdoor micro store location in Vicksburg, MS. The Store Manager supports the Retail Management team in overseeing store operations, enhancing customer satisfaction, and driving sales growth. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring that the store meets company standards. This position is primarily outdoors, and candidates must be comfortable working outside in varying weather conditions.

The Store Manager is responsible for the following:

• Organize all store operations and allocate responsibilities to personnel.
• Maintain an up-to-date product inventory sheets and pick lists.
• Maintain backstock in a neat, clean and organized manner.
• Interview, select candidates, and oversee a team of retail associates.
• Create and maintain the schedule for all retail associates.
• Delegate responsibilities to retail associates.
• Supervise and guide staff towards maximum performance.
• Prepare and control the store’s budget aiming for minimum expenditure and efficiency.
• Monitor stock levels and purchases and ensure they stay within budget.
• Deal with complaints from customers to maintain the micro store’s reputation.
• Inspect the areas in the store and resolve any issues that might arise.
• Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays.
• Keep abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements in the micro store.
• Assist in analyzing sales and revenue reports and make forecasts.
• Ensure the store fulfills all safety guidelines, including securely opening and closing the retail location based on standard procedure.
• Contribute to a positive work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in
• business or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferred.
• Ability to effectively manage point of sale systems and inventory control.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with a focus on customer service and sales growth.
• Standing or sitting for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Repetitive wrist motion.
• Audible recognition of alarms.

Outdoor Work Environment:

• This position is based at a micro store that operates outdoors.
• Team members may work outside for extended periods of time.
• Must be comfortable standing, walking, lifting merchandise, and working in varied weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain.
