As the Proposal Development Director, you will lead the creation, packaging, and delivery of high-impact proposals that drive both new business and strategic account growth. This role centralizes proposal development, ensuring consistency, quality, and commercial effectiveness across reactive RFPs and proactive sales initiatives. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Executive Leadership to translate complex solutions into compelling, visually polished, and persuasive materials. By establishing frameworks, content libraries, and repeatable processes, you will enable scalable growth while elevating the overall quality of proposals. - Lead end-to-end proposal development, including inbound RFPs/RFIs and outbound proactive proposals, ensuring timely, high-quality submissions that clearly communicate value and differentiation.
- Author and refine proposal content, transforming early-stage sales discussions into polished client-ready deliverables.
- Standardize proactive proposal creation, creating structured, visually appealing PDFs with pricing tables, narratives, and visuals.
- Build and maintain a centralized content library with core messaging, standardized responses, visual assets, case studies, and pricing frameworks.
- Partner with cross-functional teams—including Sales, Product, Engineering, Security, Legal, and Customer Success—to gather inputs and ensure accuracy.
- Continuously improve proposal quality through frameworks, win/loss insights, and market feedback, reducing burden on internal teams.
- 8+ years in proposal development, strategic sales support, or similar roles, ideally in B2B technology or healthcare.
- Proven experience managing full lifecycle proposals, including RFP responses and outbound strategic materials.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, able to synthesize inputs into clear, persuasive narratives.
- Strong project management, attention to detail, and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience building or scaling proposal/content infrastructure, including templates, libraries, and systems.
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, USCDI) is a plus.
- Preferred: Experience in healthcare technology, enterprise sales cycles, commercial modeling, and visual storytelling tools (PowerPoint, Google Slides, Notion, proposal platforms, design tools).
- Competitive base salary: $144,000 - $170,000 per year
