Radiology Aide Job Description:

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Radiology Aide plays a vital support role within the imaging department, assisting technologists with patient preparation, positioning, and exam facilitation. Responsibilities include verifying and managing images in PACS, retrieving prior studies when necessary, transporting patients safely throughout the hospital as requested, and serving as a liaison between modalities and other departments. This position requires strong organizational skills, willingness to learn film library operations, and adherence to hospital policies. Depending on certification, the Radiology Aid may also place IV catheters for contrast administration.

Keyboard experience (typing, computer)
