Summary:
The Manager will oversee daily operations within a bakery production and distribution environment, ensuring efficient workflow, employee performance, route management, food safety compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role will focus on leadership, operational performance, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
As a Manager, you will:
- Manage daily operations including production, route sales support, distribution, and account service activities
- Lead, coach, train, and develop employees to improve productivity and operational performance
- Oversee route operations, customer service standards, and account management activities
- Monitor operational workflows, staffing, scheduling, and productivity goals
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, food safety, quality, and company operational standards
- Conduct facility walkthroughs to verify safety, sanitation, product quality, and operational efficiency
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve operational effectiveness
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to achieve company goals and customer satisfaction
- Review operational reporting, paperwork, and production documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment across operations
Qualifications:
- Experience managing operations, production, distribution, or route-based environments
- Strong leadership experience in food manufacturing, bakery, warehouse, or distribution operations
- Knowledge of food safety, OSHA compliance, and operational best practices
- Ability to motivate teams, improve productivity, and manage employee performance
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
