This is a high-impact, zero-to-one creative role focused on shaping the emotional and visual identity of an AI-powered digital health experience. You will define how a product feels, moves, and connects with users managing chronic metabolic conditions such as type 2 diabetes and obesity. Working at the intersection of design, motion, and human-centered care, you will bring empathy and craft to every interaction across mobile and web platforms. The role sits within a fast-scaling health technology environment driven by AI innovation and clinical insight. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and care teams to translate abstract emotional concepts into elegant, functional experiences. This is an opportunity to influence not just design systems, but the “soul” of an AI-driven health product used to improve real patient outcomes. The environment is fast-moving, mission-driven, and deeply focused on improving lives at scale.
Accountabilities- Define the product’s emotional and visual language, shaping how users experience empathy, guidance, and connection through design, illustration, and motion.
- Create high-quality visual systems and interaction patterns that elevate usability, accessibility, and emotional engagement across digital health journeys.
- Design and prototype micro-interactions, motion behaviors, and transitions that make the product feel responsive, human, and alive.
- Develop creative concepts from zero-to-one, independently translating abstract ideas into polished, production-ready design solutions.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and clinical teams to ensure seamless integration of motion assets and visual systems across iOS and Android platforms.
- Contribute to and refine lightweight animation workflows, ensuring scalability and performance through tools like Lottie and Rive.
- Balance creative ambition with execution speed, making thoughtful trade-offs to maintain momentum while preserving design integrity.
- 5+ years of experience in product design, creative design, motion design, or related roles within consumer-facing digital products.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in visual design, motion systems, illustration, and interactive experiences.
- Experience in high-quality consumer applications such as lifestyle, social, wellness, or entertainment products with strong visual storytelling.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and motion/design tools such as After Effects, Jitter, or similar platforms.
- Experience producing and shipping motion assets using Lottie, Rive, or comparable frameworks.
- Strong understanding of micro-interactions, UX principles, and how motion influences engagement and user behavior.
- Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments and translate abstract emotional goals into concrete design outputs.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working closely with product and engineering teams.
- Competitive salary aligned with leading tech industry standards (USD 150,000–165,000 range).
- Remote-first work environment with a globally distributed team.
- Equity participation opportunities depending on role type and eligibility.
- Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance (with family coverage support).
- Unlimited paid time off with manager approval.
- Generous parental leave policies supporting both primary and secondary caregivers.
- 401(k) retirement savings plan.
- Flexible, mission-driven culture focused on work-life balance and impact-driven design.
