Final Sewing Inspector at UNIVERSAL FURNITURE – Conover, North Carolina

BASIC FUNCTION

Sewing Inspectors will work directly with sewers and other inspectors and are responsible that all sewn parts/pieces are accurate per production ticket and meets the quality standards of the company. Reports to Sewing department Supervisor.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspecting all sewn parts for accuracy & quality to meet production standards.

• Identify quality issues and report to manager.

• Ensuring all sewn parts/pieces are bundled together and are complete before it is sent to staging.

• Exercises care and follows the proper safety procedures to prevent injuries to themselves and their co-workers. May perform other duties/special or non-routine assignments as needed.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma Preferred.

Inspection Experience (Furniture a plus).

Able to work Full-Time.

Ability to get along with others and work in a team environment.

Able to handle multiple tasks & work in a fast paced, concentrated environment.

Attention to detail and quality a must.
