Job Overview: Trinitas Regional Medical Center ER is a state-of-the-art facility that recently underwent an $18.7 million renovation that nearly doubled the number of treatment beds from 27 to 45. Care is now delivered in highly personalized areas that address the needs of families, seniors and behavioral patients. Also included in the project are a 128-slice CT scanner and an onsite ultrasound suite that speeds up the delivery of care and provides a more detailed diagnosis. Unlike many hospitals, Trinitas Regional Medical Center is a full-service institution. As such, we are fully-equipped and staffed to provide a complete range of services to those in need of general care, as well as specialized services, such as pediatric or obstetric care. The RWJBarnabas Health New Graduate RN Residency Program is a one-year program that provides new graduate RN's with a safe, caring, supportive and robust learning environment. Our goal is to allow new graduate nurses the opportunity to gain additional clinical competencies to achieve a stress-free transition from student to professional practice. Highlights of our program include:
- Preceptor and new nurse relationship-guided transition support.
- Continuing education and ongoing enhancement of professional development.
- Specialty-specific foundation courses were developed to reflect the scope and standards of practice.
- Application of professional accountability and ethical practice inherent in the role of the registered nurse.
- Recognition of the effects of skilled nursing practice on patient safety, quality and satisfaction.
- Self-care focus, to maintain a safe and fulfilling nursing practice, for both the nurse and patient.
- Mentorship to support the new graduate nurse through their first year of practice and beyond.
- New graduates are hired in the area of specialty to enhance their specialty education experience from day one.
Scheduling Requirements:
- Full Time
- 36 Hours Per Week
- Night Shift
- 7p-7:30a
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Qualifications:
- Active New Jersey RN License or pending RN license (with completed NCLEX exam) required
- New Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with less than 6 months of RN experience is required
- ASN or BSN required
- AHA BLS prior to start date required
- Career interest Emergency Department specialty is highly preferred
