MONITOR TECHNICIAN - TELEMETRY at LifeBridge Health – Randallstown, Maryland

Northwest Hospital PCU is seeking a Telemetry Monitoring Technician. Seeking candidates with experience in documenting and interpreting rhythm strips.

The PCU at Northwest Hospital provides specialized care centered on the whole person with a focus on cardiac diagnoses.

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the Monitor Technician provides continuous monitor observation and rhythm strip documentation. Documents and interprets rhythm strips for all patients. Communicates with appropriate nurses of changes in cardiac rhythms. As a member of the nursing unit, conducts self to promote an organized and positive environment.

Clinical Responsibilities:

Provides continuous cardiac monitor observation

Documents and interprets rhythm strips for each patient per unit requirement.

Positions and handles patients with a high degree of safety and professionalism

Recognizes and reports any adverse reactions, events or possible safety concerns.

Follows proper procedure during Code Blue situations

Experience Required:

Required: Less than one year related experience (monitor, observation and rhythm strip documentation)

Education: Preferred: High School / GED
