Second Shift- Monday- Thursday 3:30 PM-1:00 AM Friday 2:30 PM-12:00 AM off every other Friday
Position Description:
The seasoned CNC Machinist, Level III, is responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. This job requires expertise in CNC machining, attention to detail, and commitment to quality by ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our manufacturing processes. The CNC Machinist III should have extensive hands-on experience with a deep understanding of CNC machining technologies and a proven track record of delivering high-quality, complex components.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• None
Competencies:
• Proven experience as a CNC machinist in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of advanced CNC machining techniques.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and self-sufficient.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Must be familiar with quality standards (ISO9001/AS9100).
• Must have your own tools and know the proper use of inspection tools.
Essential Functions:
• Operate a CNC machine to produce high-precision components within specified tolerances.
• Complete complex machine set-ups by loading necessary tools, inputting program codes, and securing work pieces.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance on the CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Inspect parts during production runs and finished products for accuracy and quality, making necessary adjustments as required.
• Complete finishing and deburring on parts as necessary.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve any machining and programming issues.
• Keep accurate records of production processes, machine settings, and tool changes.
• Familiarity and ability to work with a variety of materials, including metals and plastics.
• Should possess expertise and thorough understanding in interpreting part prints, dimensioning, as well as tolerance.
• Program CNC machine based on engineering drawings and specifications.
• Edit G Code programs on various machines and able to program.
• Prove out and edit programs written in G Code.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with live tooling, 3rd axis, 4th axis, 5th axis, horizontal and sub-spindle.
• Innovate and implement tooling solutions for challenging machining tasks.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Collaborate with quality teams to develop and refine inspection processes.
• Mentor junior machinists and contribute to their professional development.

• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to CNC machining.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):
• High school or diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have ten-plus years of CNC experience.
• Vocational/technical training is preferred.
Essential Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to move/transport up to 40 pounds at times.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, and squat to access all parts of the machine.
• This is a designated safety-sensitive position.
Other Physical Requirements:
• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Be able to work in noisy environments.
