Are you detail-driven, organized, and passionate about ensuring financial accuracy that directly supports people and programs? Open Doors is seeking a Residential Financial Coordinator to play a key role in managing participant funds, financial tracking, and compliance—while partnering closely with cross-functional teams and leadership.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Residential Financial Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of financial coordination tasks, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), payroll, participant funds, taxes, financial reporting, and analysis. This role also collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations and procedures and provides support to executive leadership.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Track residents’ expenses and reconcile transactions with supporting receipts
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and state guardianship regarding:
- Personal spending
- Room and board payments
- Quarterly Resident Trust Accounts (RTA)
- Deposit checks into company bank accounts in a timely and accurate manner
- Prepare and maintain monthly spreadsheets for:
- Room and board
- Personal spending
- Stipend payments
- Conduct monthly audits of financial records, including room and board, personal spending, and stipend payments
- Utilize and maintain accurate data within participant fund systems, including RFMS
- Track and monitor FHP payments to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Leverage strong Excel skills to manage large data sets, including the ability to manipulate, analyze, and reconcile financial data (preferred experience with Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, and INDEX/MATCH)
- Perform other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
- No supervisory responsibilities
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit for extended periods and possess the normal range of body motion.
- This position is a hybrid with a mix of remote and in-office.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have associate’s degree or comparable work experience in the field with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with ICare System is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Capable of effective communication with guardians, residential managers, and the corporate finance team.
- Displays strong communication and interpersonal skills, encompassing self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management.
- Utilizes discernment and critical thinking to resolve discrepancies and problems, exercising sound judgment and involving appropriate parties in decision-making.
- Possesses an understanding of general business and office terminology and basic knowledge of personnel policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Demonstrates intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite products/programs, including the ability to compose routine correspondence and reports.
- Ability to comprehend and utilize banking software.
- Strong excel skills and experience working with large data sets. Requires the ability to manipulate, analyze, and reconcile data. (Preferred knowledge of Pivot tables, sum-ifs, vlookups, index/match)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- A clear state police criminal record check is required for any state in which the person has resided in the past year. If any prior convictions for offenses outlined in KRS Chapter 17.165 (1)-(3) or a prior felony conviction, contract work will not be offered. Additionally, annual background checks may be required.
